Dixie Bounds

Dixie Bea Bounds 87, of Poplar Bluff died August 15, 2021 at her residence . She was born in Jonesboro Ark.

On July 17, 1934 to the late Phillip and Delphia Ballard. She was united in marriage to Leonard Bounds on Feb. 14, 1953.  To this union three sons were born.  Leonard preceded her in death in 1975.  She later married Harold Pickard and had one son.

Dixie loved God, her family and her church and nobody was a stranger in her eyes.

She loved to sit on her porch in the summer until her health failed and was unable to do so.

Dixie worked many jobs in her lifetime to help support her family, including waitressing and factory work.

She leaves behind her children; James Pickard (Stephanie)

Frank Bounds (Ginger), Walter Bounds (Terri), John Bounds.  Two sisters; Mary Pollard (James), Phyllis McLain.

Also surviving are grandchildren; Samantha Garbosky (Jonathan), David Bounds, Casey Bounds, Weston Bounds,

Caliah Pickard, Avia Pickard, Adeline Pickard, Sydney Barber, Chris Lewis, Savannah Lewis, Lorinda Pickard, Dustin

Pickard, Leslie Jarrett, Sabrina Blount, seven other grandchildren. Many other great-grandchildren and friends

Survive.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by four siblings.

The family is planning a memorial gathering at a later date.
