Dixie Faye Harden, 63, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on February 16, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Dixie was born on August 25, 1961, to Johnny and Patsy (Seawright) Harden in Greenville, Mississippi.
Dixie was a devoted Christian and strong in her faith. She believed with all of her heart that God's purpose for her on this Earth was to be a light to others, spreading kindness everywhere she went. She was employed by Chartwells as Director of Food Dining Service for 27 years. An important part of her time with them was spent working at Poplar Bluff R-1 School District, where Dixie made many special bonds and connections. She was a compassionate and hard-working person. She easily forgave others and had a heart of gold. Dixie could be quite the homebody. She enjoyed tending to her yard, spending time with her family and pets, and decorating her home for the nearly every holiday; but Christmas was known to be her favorite. She was a caring soul that will truly be missed by those who she left a special mark on their hearts.
Dixie is survived by her daughter, Donna (Daniel) Warden; two sisters, June (Mark) Speidel Cynthia (Mark) Fojtik; three grandchildren, Ray Bradshaw, Robert Sprague, and Shae Tallman; special friends, Trish Wilson and Stacyie Faith; three canine companions aka “fur babies”, Zeus, Porchia, and Lil Bit; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Tamey Harden.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 01, 2025, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow beginning at noon with her grandson, Ray Bradshaw and family friend, Kim Wilson officiating.
