Donald Hampton Sr., 83, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., went to his Heavenly home Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Hampton was born January 30, 1930 in Hartville, Mo. He was a Pharmacist and a minister and had been a missionary on an Indian reservation. He also was a veteran of the Air Force and served in the Korean War.
On February 14, 2008 he married Nina Sue (Diggs) Hampton, in Poplar Bluff. She survives. Previously he was married to Mildred Hampton in 1953. She preceded him in death June 7, 2003.
Mr. Hampton is also survived by his children, Daniel Hampton, Connie Minton, Donna Hannah, Gary Hampton, Dewayne Hampton, Donald Hampton Jr. and Mindy McGreger and one step son Danis Diggs; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elsie Hampton, 3 brothers, Marvin,Vernon and Hershel Hampton
Visitation will begin at 11a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, with a GRAVESIDE funeral following at noon at the City Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Page officiating.
