Donald Pickard Sr

Donald Roy Pickard Sr., 72, of Naylor, Mo., passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home. Mr. Pickard was born December 15, 1941 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to the late Aubrey Elmo Pickard and Bessie (Gallmore) Pickard. Mr. Pickard was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church. He served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and the National Guard. An auto mechanic by trade, he loved tinkering with broken things. On July 17, 1963 he married Lois (Rankin) Pickard in Poplar Bluff. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Linda Sue Shaw, Donald Ray Pickard Jr., Donna Marie Brannum, Carolyn Ann Joerke and John Joseph Pickard; 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the New Life Tabernacle, 603 Victor Street, Poplar Bluff with Pastor Larry Sanders officiating. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff in charge of arrangements.
