Donald Ray Sawyer

Donald Ray Sawyer 81, of Poplar Bluff, died October 31, 2017 in Poplar Bluff surrounded by his family. He was born February 29, 1936 in Kennett, Mo to the late Ed and Imogene Sawyer. Mr. Sawyer attended MT. Zion Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was a truck driver. Mr. Sawyer married Sue Sawyer in 1958 and she preceded him in death on January 16, 2006. On June 5, 2008 he was united in marriage to Shirley McGarrity Sawyer she survives. Also surviving are his children Charlynda Snodgrass and husband Clay, Letitia Pollard and husband Fred. one brother Thomas Gardner, and two sisters Peggy Trout and Wilma Benny. Two grandchildren Morgan Venable and husband Steven, and Carl Snodgrass. Visitation will be Saturday November 4, 1 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral home in Poplar Bluff with the funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery Broseley, Mo. Pastor Danny Robinson will be officiating.
