Doris Ann Davis, 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home.
The daughter of Winston and Virginia (Jameson) Kiser, Doris was born May 11, 1939 in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Methodist belief. A retired elementary school teacher and member of X:DeltaXi Sorority, she enjoyed ceramics, gardening, flowers, and traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.
She married D.L. Davis Sr. on March 5, 1955. He preceded her in death August 13, 2014.
Survivors include her son, Dr. D.L. Davis Jr. (Vel) and daughter, Tana (Davis) Bringer (Mark); 3 sisters, Sharon Clark, Jean Phillips and Tammy Price; 2 brothers, Joseph Kiser and Winston Jay Kiser; as well as 5 grandchildren, Darwin Davis III, Courtney Davis- Barnett, Peyton Davis, Wesley Bringer and Joseph Bringer; 7 great-grandchildren, Landon Bringer, Bailey Bringer, Jaxon Bringer, Paige Davis, Davis Barnett, Reese Barnett and Beau Barnett, and special friend and caretaker, Eva Phillips.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at her home.
