Dorris Dale Sowells

Dorris Dale Sowells, 72 of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away May 12, 2012 in the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born February 4, 1940 at Kennett, Missouri to the late Marvin Sowells and Ina Breedon Sowells. On October 9, 1957 at Muncie, Indiana He was married to Edna Mae Warrell. She survives. Also surviving, Children, Jimmy Dale Sowells of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Ruth Ann Sowells Nations and husband Danny Dawsonville, Georgia, Brenda Kay Sowells Cordova and husband Robert of Pervis, Mississippi. as well as six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as one sister Nell Ruth Mount and one Brother Clifford Sowells,and one grandchild. Mr. Sowells was a member of the Harviell Pentecostal Church and had served in the United States Army between the Korea and Vietnam war. He enjoyed his church, walking, and his wifes cooking. A graveside service will be held May 16, 2012 in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana starting at 11:00 a.m.. Donnie Fowler officiating.
