Douglas Montgomery

On July 28, 2021 at 1:46 pm the world lost a kind of gentle person.  He loved his family and friend.  He never knew a stranger.  He loved hunting and fishing.  He was a marine through and through.  His fight is now over, its time for him to rest.

He was a wonderful father and papa.  He loves his 5 grandkids more that anything else.  He was so proud of them! He came from a family of 8 kids, Family and Friends were one of his most important things in life.

He is survived by his 2 kids Douglas and Ambre; 5 grandchildren, Jasten, Zoey, Bridgette, Alexa and Curtis; one brother Bill and three sisters, Sue, Sharon and Christine.  He leaves behind a slew of extended family and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Thurman and Lillie; sister Joann; two brothers Mike and Gary.

We will miss his witty remarks and enormous heart.  This is not goodbye its see you later "Old Fart".

We love you always and forever.

There will be military honors on Friday August 6, 2021 at 10:00a in the back parking lot of Fowler Sullivan, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo 63901.
