Edna Kay Bounds

Edna Kay Bounds, 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1952 in Oxford, Mississippi to the late T.D. Joiner and her mother Rosie Etta Johnson. Mrs. Bounds was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at an early age. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed watching soap operas, listening to gospel music, watching wrestling and caring for all of her children. Survivors are her mother, Rosie Etta Johnson; her children, Yvonne Tate, Alexander Bounds, Tracey Bounds and Stacey Bounds; her sisters, Clydell Crouch, Lillie Forte, Reba Johnson, Eunice Bingley and Beverly Delph; her brothers, Donald Johnson, Eddie Johnson and Terry Johnson; eight grandchildren, Mia Johnson, Kaylen Johnson, Tyasia Bounds, Kyle Bounds, Kahlil Carpenter, Cameron Bounds, Elisha Bounds and Aliyah Bounds. She was preceded in death by her father, T.D. Joiner; one sister, Mary Florence Hilliard and five brothers, Raymond Johnson, Marshall Johnson, Bob Johnson, Ernest Johnson and Jessie Johnson. Visitation will begin at (noon) 12 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the True Believers Baptist Church, 510 North D Street in Poplar Bluff. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Internment will follow in the City Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.
