Edwin Carl Dahlgren

Edwin Carl Dahlgren, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. departed this life Sunday, September 28,2014, at his residence. Mr. Dahlgren was born Oct. 1, 1935 in Joliet Ill. to Edwin and Vergine Dahlgren. He served in the United States Army, and later worked as a Union Pipefitter. Edwin was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, playing bingo and rolling dice. He was united in marriage to Mildred Ann McCullough on Sept.19, 1959, in Lockport Ill. She preceded him in death on October 10, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Dan Dahlgren. Survivors include his children, Dave Dahlgren and wife, Rhonda, of Demotte, Ind., Rick Dahlgren and wife, Pam, of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Ronald Dahlgren of Florida; 13 grandchildren, Kaelin, Trevor, Kierra, Kyleigh, Coby, Miranda, William, Ethan, Lexi, AJ, Brody, Jonathan and Danika; and two great grandchildren, Molly and Lorilye. Memorial visitation will be from 6- 7 p.m., Tuesday September 30,2014, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Poplar Bluff, followed by a memorial funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with Dr. Dick Murray officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield Mo.
