Elda Louise Harlan, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Elda was born August 17, 1924 in Neelyville, Mo., to DeWitt and Eva Kittredge. On November 15, 1943, she married James Wesley Harlan. She retired from Three Rivers College cafeteria, as head cook in 1992, where most athletes and staff called her "Mom". She is survived by her daughter, Linda French (Harvey) of Harviell; son, Alan Harlan (Alesia) of Doniphan; son-in-law, Gene Hill of Poplar Bluff; sister, Gloria Stevens of Fenton; 10 grandchildren, Darlene Shackleford (Kevin), Linda Lea Oesterreicher (Paul), Jim French (Darla), John French, (Niki), Joe French (Pinar), Lisa French, Jerry French, Laura Rush, Wesley Harlan, (Yolanda) and Jessie Harlan along with 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
