Ellen Nimon

Ellen L. Nimon, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff. Mrs Nimon was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Corning, Ark. A homemaker, she lived in Poplar Bluff most of her life. She enjoyed crochet, reading the Bible, flowers, county fairs, animal shows, dancing and spending time with her great-granddaughter and friends. She attended Faith Seventh Day Baptist Church in Doniphan. On March 13, 1988, she married Louis Nimon. He survives. Also surviving one son, Earl Thurston Jr. of Sherwood, Ark.; a sister Jean Hess of Poplar Bluff; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter. Visitation held a 2 p.m. Wednesday June 16, 2010 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. followed by a graveside service at the Cochran Cemetery in Harviell with Wilford" Bud" Beecher officiating.
