Elmer Sonny Campton Jr. 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away October 23, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Campton was born on October 15, 1952, in Haure, Montana, to the late Elmer and Genevieve Mary (Culver) Campton.
Elmer had worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed camping, loved motorcycles and being with family. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Grandin Masonic Lodge 579, past master of the Eastern Star 519 in Grandin, Mo., Scottish Rite in St. Louis, and Three Rivers Shrine Club in Poplar Bluff.
He was married to Iva Jean Campton. She preceded him in death in 2008.
Survivors include his sister, Loretta, as well as other relatives and many friends.
A brother, James Campton, also preceded him in death.
A memorial visitation service will be held at 6pm Thursday October 29 at the Calvary General Baptist Church on PP Hwy, followed by a Masonic service at 6:30pm
