Elmer Von Evans

Elmer Von Evans, 91 of Naylor, Missouri passed away at his residence July 31, 2012. He was born March 9, 1921 at Pageland South, Carolina to the late Richard Evans and Annie Laney Evans. on July 3, 1941 at Phoenix City, Alabama he was married to Della Mae Feasel. She preceded him in death on August 18, 1997. He survived by, three sons, Jerry Lynn Evans and Johnny Lee Evans both of Naylor, Mo. and Jeffery Allen Evans of Doniphan, Missouri. One daughter, Linda Gail Evans Tisdal and husband Buel of Naylor, Missouri., Three sisters Ruth Hatley, Bobbie Geason and Linda Fay Pope, One brother, Aaron Evans. His grandchildren, Sammy Hodge, Marsha McKuin, Shery Riley, Amanda Brainard, Tammy Latham, Felicia Wilkerson, Ed Tisdal and Doug Tisdal. Great Grandchildren, David McKuin, Laura Asher, Madison Brainard , Troy Hodge and Lavada Harpole. He is preceded in death by his wife, Della, Parents as well as one daughter Glenda Caroline Latham and one son Jimmy Von Evans. three sisters and five brothers. Elmer retired form Catepillar Heavy Equitment Manifacturing in Peoria, Ill. He was a member of American Leagion at Naylor and V.F.W. at Doniphan, Missouri. He enjoyed gardening raising cattle , farming and driving tractors. He had served in the United States Army during WWII. Visitation for Mr Evans will be Thursday night August 2, 2012 at 6:oo p.m. with the funeral starting at 10:00 am August 3, 2012 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel at Neelyville, Mo. Burial will be in the Evans Family Cemetery near Naylor, Mo. with Ron Fowler officiating.
