Estle H. "Bud" Knowlton, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Knowlton was born to Claude and Matilda (Ivy) Knowlton on April 25, 1922 in Ripley County, Mo. He was previously married to Genevive Richardson and Hazel Richardet who preceded him in death.
Mr. Knowlton was a 1941 graduate of Neelyville High School and held a position as a welder in a shipyard. He was an active member of the Poplar Bluff Eagles Club and had owned Knowlton's County Club on the Arkansas/Missouri state line. Mr. Knowlton enjoyed antique cars and raising Tennessee Walking horses during is lifetime.
He is survived by three daughters, Verneal Braden of Viola, Arkansas, Carolyn Michnal of Kalispill, Montana, and Robin Perna of Lindsey California; a sister, Louise Gillispie of Montgomery, Al., eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, Stanley, and three sisters, Ollie Hines, Celesta Armstrong and his twin, Esther Engleman.
Visitation for Mr. Knowlton will be from 1:oo p.m. till 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 26, 2015 at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. the funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Neelyville, Mo. with burial in the Memorial Garden of Poplar Bluff.
