Eual Dodd, 81 of Poplar Bluff passed away Friday February 17th, 2012 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. Visitation will begin 10AM Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Funeral service will begin at 11AM Tues in the chapel with grandson, Rev. Christopher Dodd officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. Mr Dodd was born April 15, 1930 in Doniphan, Mo., to the late Lee H. Dodd and Bertha Dale-Dodd. He was a member of Twin Springs Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He was retired from the U.S. Army and the Poplar Bluff Post Office. He served two terms in the U.S. Army and one in the U. S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed western books, models and travel. On June 21, 1953 he married Nora Emerson-Dodd, in Poplar Bluff, she survives. They enjoyed 58 1/2 years of marriage. Also surviving are sons, Michael Lee Dodd and Robert Alan Dodd, a daughter, Judy Lynn Tufts and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Christopher A. Dodd and wife , Janet, Andrew M. Dodd and wife, Marci, Matthew R. Dodd and wife, Stephanie, Steven P. Dodd, Ryan Buchanan, Randal Buchanan and wife, Sarah and Aaron Buchanan, great-grandchildren, Chloe E. Dodd, Madalyn Dodd, Robert W. Dodd, Kooper Buchanan. He was preceded in death by sisters, Erma Abbott, Jessie Green, and Ruth Garner; brothers, Dick Dodd, Claud Dodd, Carl Dodd, and William Dodd and one great-granddaughter; Joanna G. Dodd.
