Flora Mae Currie

Flora Mae Currie, 98, of Broseley, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Currie was born June 6, 1916 in Houston, Ms. She was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to William Currie, who preceded her in death. Survivors include eight children, Ella Gibson, Cleveland Currie, Delois Patterson, William Currie, Jonathan Currie, Colie Currie, Sharon Currie and Walter Currie; 32 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, 42 great-great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death, her parents, Colie and Careda (Montgomery) Doss and three children, Mercedes Currie, Mary Currie and Martha Currie. Visitation at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 followed by funeral services at 12 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Minister Ronald Hawes officiated. Burial held in the Morocco Cemetery, Broseley, Mo.
