Francisco Vega Sr

Francisco Torres Vega Sr., 47, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at his home. Mr. Vega was born February 18, 1968, in Buffalo, N.Y. He was co-founder and member of Crossroads Church and a member of Community Watch and Men of Faith in Action. He also was an installer for Fowler Flooring. Mr. Vega enjoyed fishing, music, community engagement activities and volunteer work. On September 26, 1986, he married Cynthia Vega. She survives. Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Chico and DeeDee Vega; mother and stepfather, Grace and Willie Schrock; 36 siblings; four children, Christina Lewis, Shawn Torres Vega, Francisco Torres Vega Jr. and Elijah James Torres Vega; six grandchildren, Justice Lorraine Octavia Lewis, Jada LeeAnn Willow Lewis, David Lewis IV, Shakira Lewis, Bryson Vega and D'Artaryan Torres Vega; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jazlynn Lewis and Jocelynn Lewis. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church. The funeral service will follow with Bishop Ron Webb and Jimmy Wagner of Crossroads Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
