Freda Phillips

Freda Marie Phillips, 99, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on October 23, 2025 at Westwood Hills Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Freda was born on November 16, 1925, to Robert and Jenny Allen. On April 11, 1946, she married John Phillips.

Freda was a member of Faith Baptist Church at Wappapello, Missouri and also attended 3rd Baptist in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She loved to take care of people, serving in ministry alongside her husband for over 60 years, crocheting, quilting, gardening and cooking.

Freda is survived by Grandson Jeff Moore (Kim), Granddaughter Jennifer Settle (John) Sons- in-laws James Capps and Don Poe, with several nieces and nephews, and several great grandchildren.

Freda was preceded in death by Parents Robert and Jenny Allen, Husband John Phillips, Sisters, Mabel Templemire, Viola Groves, brothers Lyman Allen, Carlos Allen, Claude Allen, Franklin Lee Allen, daughters Sharon Moore Poe, Donna Capps, granddaughter Kim Capps and son-in-law James Moore.

Graveside service will be at Little Brushy Cemetery Wappapello Missouri at 12:00pm. On Monday the 27th of October.
