Freeman Odell Hays

Freeman Odell Hays, 74 , of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Qulin, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at the John J Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born December 10,1940, in Pollard Ark., to the late Golfrey Hays and Vivian Mae (Wallace) Hays. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 494 in Qulin. He was also a commercial truck driver. Survivors include his children, Brenda Culp, Mikel Hays, Stephanie Gristea; two stepchildren, Clifton Morlan and Anthony Morlan; one sister, Glenda Reeves; a half sister, Louise Hornbeck, and half brother, Ray Tilley; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Hays was also preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Gwaltney, Nina Wilborn, and Pansy Melton. No services are planned at Mr. Hay's request.
