Gale D'Wayne Jones, 64, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Jones was born May 5, 1951, in New Madrid, Mo., to the late Clarence and Clara (Fowler) Jones.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1974, during the Vietnam War, and was an airplane mechanic. He enjoyed reading and was of the Protestant belief.
On January 10, 1971 he married Patricia (Bryeans) Jones. She survives.
He is also survived by a son, Larry Joe Jones and a daughter, Grace Crowley; a brother, Kevin Jones; as well as 4 grandchildren, Mark Jones, Maggie Jones, Alyson Crowley and Chloe Crowley.
Two grandchildren, James Dunn Jones and Ayden Crowley also preceded him in death.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors, followed by interment. Ron Fowler will officiate.
