Gary Neal Groves

Gary Neal Groves, 64, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Groves was born September 24, 1951 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Apostolic Worship Center in Poplar Bluff. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a computer specialist at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. He enjoyed spreading the word of God, riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. On September 23, 1979, he married Emma Groves in Williamsville. She survives. Other survivors include a son, James Cluckey and wife, Joyce and one sister, Rebecca A. Wood; his grandchildren, Legend Neal Groves, Tucker Groves, Rile Groves, Makaila Simmons and husband, Jacob, Brett and Brennon Cluckey; three great-grandchildren, Jakob, Xander, and Oakley Simmons, as well as several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Carl Neal Groves; his parents, Neal and Alta Mae (Gill) Groves; one sister, Sandra A. Eaton and brother, Greg V. Groves. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Don Andrews will officiate, assisted by Pastor Jerry Williams. Interment will be held in Military Crossing, Williamsville, Mo.
