Gertrude (Trudy) Duncan

Gertrude (Trudy) Duncan, 68 of Poplar Bluff passed away Sept. 11, 2020 at her home.

Trudy was born Sept. 5, 1952 to the late William and Gertrude (Siebert) Hirtz.  On Sept. 3, 1988 she was united in marriage to Ben Duncan who preceded her in death in 2013.

Trudy was an insurance agent, being the owner of Trudy Duncan Insurance Agency.  She was very devoted to her job and clients.  She was a member of St. Anne’s Society and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Traveling was a passion of hers as was spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children; Gail Fox-Dohrman (Jim), Carl Troutt, Mike Troutt (Renee), Brad Troutt (Ali), Kristen Lacy (Matt), Pam Scott (Devon), grandchildren; Jerrica and Julia Fox, Hailey Troutt, Brayden Bryant and Nicholas Troutt, Bennett, Logan, Cooper and Kadee Lacy, brothers; Father Daniel Hirtz, Bill, Darrall and Mike Hirtz, sisters; Gloria Jean Good, Peggy Deken, and Cheri Bader, special relative; Jo Alice Hirtz and Wayne Keeney.

She was preceded in death by husband Ben Duncan, parents; William and Gertrude Hirtz, a niece and two nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 am Wednesday Sept. 16, 2020 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral mass will begin at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Burial to follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
