Glenda L. Hager, 66, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 2, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born December 30, 1949, in Manila, Ark., to the late Robert Hall and Ruth (Archer) Hall. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed going to church and spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from the Mo. Highway Patrol on January 1, 2012, after 18 years of service.
On July 10, 1970 she married Larry D. Hager. He preceded her in death April 28, 1992.
Survivors include her children, Douglas R. Hager of Poplar Bluff, Melissa S. Hager and Mark Hager and wife, Amy, all of Park Hills, Mo., one sister, Linda S. Benton of Poplar Bluff; her grandchildren, Allyson Hager, Andrew Hager and Addyson Hager all of Park Hills, and Grace Ann Hager of Poplar Bluff; as well as one nephew, Stephen Benton, and wife, Dana and great-nephew, Phillip Benton of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by the funeral service at 12 (noon) in the chapel. Pastor Vernon Woolverton and Rev. Sue Hampton will officiate the service. Interment will be held in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials may be made to St. Jude's Cancer Research.
