Grayson Ray Markham, 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Markham was born July 17, 1953 in Poplar Bluff, to the late George Robert Markham and Tommie (Stafford) Markham.
He was a carpenter and enjoyed going to the river, camping, boating and being with his grandchildren. He was of the Southern Baptist faith. Mr. Markham served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
On October 6, 1971 he married Dollie (Kirk) Markham in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Scott Markham, Carl Markham, Lacey McClintock and Jessica Deffendall; sisters Nina Hampton, Betty Gallamore and JoEllen Bailey; brothers, Harry Markham, William "Bill" Markham, and Pete Markham; as well as his grandchildren, Thomas Markham, Trevor McClintock, Skyler McClintock, Dalton Markham, Macey McClintock, Austin Markham, Mila Deffendall, and Cassie Gholson; 3 great grandchildren, Noah, Josiah, Elizabeth.
Mr. Markham was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Dena Mitchell and Nellie Markham, and a brother, James Markham.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Greg Faughn officiating. Burial will be held in Liberty Cemetery.
