Harold Calvin Gillihan

Harold "Loyd" Calvin Gillihan, 75, of Wappapello, Mo., passed away on August 8, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gillihan was born July 28, 1938, in Little Rock, Ark. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired truck driver. Survivors include two brothers, John Gillihan of Springfield, Mo., and Ronnie Gillihan of Poplar Bluff; his children, Clyfton Southard of Wappapello, Shawn Southard of Paragould, Ark., Angela Childress of Holland Mich., and Calvin Gillihan of Shelbyville, Mich.; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a cherished uncle to Teresa Campion and Jason Gillihan and will be truly missed. He also leaves behind two of his most special friends, Chester and Sarah, of Ehrenberg, Ariz., who knew him as "Cornbread". Preceding him in death were his parents William and Ruby Gillihan and four brothers, Rudell, James, Dempsey and Thurl Gillihan. A memorial service was held August 10, 2013, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
