Hattie L. Williams

Hattie L. Williams, 79 of Poplar Bluff was called home Monday, October 23,2017 at her residence with her family by her. Mrs. Williams was born July 29, 1938 in Rives, Mo, to the late Caleb and Hattie(Thompson) Williams. Mrs. Williams was a registered nurse at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. She was a member of True Believers Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed church activities and reading. She received an honorary doctoral degree for service in ministry with her husband Rev. Johnny Williams. She was married to Rev. Johnny Williams on August 24, 1957 in Poplar Bluff. He survives. Also surviving are children; Pastor Carl Williams (Helen), Purity Williams, Pastor Leroy Williams(Annie), Apostle Anthony Williams(Connie); sister, Rosie Akins; 20 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Mallie Williams; and brothers, Will and Allen Williams. Visitation will be Saturday, October 28,2017 11am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral ceremony will follow at 12pm in the chapel with Pastors; Carl, Anthony, Leroy and Purity Williams. Burial will be in the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
