Helen Casteel

Helen Magalene Casteel (Knowles), 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was born on January 19, 1958 and passed away on September 18, 2025 at PBRMC surrounded by her loved ones.

Helen dedicated more than 30 years to working in food service, where she made lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic. She found joy in tending to her yard, painting, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her children: Stacy Knowles (Lonnie Magill), Nathan Casteel (Shelly), and Frankie Casteel (Pam). She was the cherished nana of Zach Knowles, Mindy Thomas (Trisha), Mikayla Magill (Dustin AuBuchon), Payton Ward, Aryanna Casteel, Jenny Casteel, and Chance Casteel. Helen was also blessed with two great-grandchildren who brought her much happiness.

She is also survived by her brother John Knowles and her sister Lynn Jones.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Casteel, and her mother, Alta Vanderpool.

Helen will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and devotion to her family. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family visitation will be Friday 09/26/2025 at 9:00am to 9:30am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home

The public visitation will be Fridaym09/26/2025 9:30am to 10:45 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home

Service will be at Sacred Heart at 11:00am

the committal will be at the city cemetery at 12:00pm
