Helen P. Whitt

Helen Pauline Whitt, 86, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Whitt was born February 21, 1928 in Poplar Bluff to Raymond Ray Ward and Julia Mae (Caruthers)Ward. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching television and reading the newspaper. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Garrison and two sons, Larry "Bucky" Whitt and wife, Sandy, and DeWayne Whitt and wife, Karen; two sisters, JoAnn Pashia and Janice Ward-Walls; one brother, Mirl Ward; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as one sister, Joyce Ward-Cole, and three brothers, Charles Ward, Mickey Ward and Gene Ward. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014, in the chapel, with Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
