Howard Neil Flurry

Howard Neil Flurry, son of the late V.L. and Elizabeth Flurry, was born July 14, 1932, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, and passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010,at the age of 78.

Mr Flurry was a row crop and cattle farmer. He also owned and operated Flurry's Fish Farm for many years. He enjoyed his animals, gardening and sitting at the Stateline Truck Stop drinking coffee visiting with all of his buddies. He was a member of Living Word Fellowship Church in Corning, Arkansas.

He married Wanda Welch on June 21, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She survives. He is also survived by three children and their families: Linda and husband, Gayland Arrington; Philip and wife, Margaret Flurry, all of Neelyville, Mo. and Lisa and husband, Ed Burke, of Van Buren, Mo. He is survived by six grandchildren : Lynn Arrington Derickson, Amy Arrington Hogan, Philip Flurry Jr., Crystal Flurry Gillespie, Danielle West Robertson and Dustin West: eight greatchildren: Alexandra, Caleb and Zimri Hogan, Cody Vowell, Christa Flurry, Ryan Gillespie, Addison Robertson, McKinley West, and five more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his sister, lavern parker: his borther, Jerry "Sonny Flurry; a grandson Matthew Arrington; one great granddaughter, Aubrey West.

Visitation will be at a6 p.m. today Monday October 4, 2010, at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Mo. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday . Rev Tony Monreal will officiate with Rev Jerry Chaney assisting. Interment will be in the Roberts Cemetery of Neelyville.
