Imogene Spargo Sullivan, 92, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Feb. 28, 2017 at Swift Creek Residential Care in Poplar Bluff, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Sullivan was born March 20, 1924 in Black Oak, AR. She worked as a farmer and enjoyed gardening, quilting and was involved in TOPS organization in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Neelyville United Methodist Church and worked the election polls in Neelyville for several years.
On Feb. 12, 1938, she married Bill Spargo in Caraway, AR. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1975.
On May 16, 1986, she married Ardell Sullivan in Neelyville, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2002.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, C.W.(Code) and Lear Adams; 2 sisters, Mary Miller and Lorene Moore; and 2 brothers, William and Alex Adams.
Survivors include her son, Rick Spargo and wife, Susie of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Will Spargo and wife, Teribeth of Naylor, Mo., and Jill Lynxwiler and husband, Steve of Ellsinore, Mo., Richard Sullivan and wife, Monica of Ellsinore; great-grandchildren, Ricanna, Bryce, and Lucas Spargo, Lilly and Lila Lynxwiler, and Sean, Cassidy and Conner Sullivan. Also surviving are two special friends, Wanda Flurry and Peggy Moore.
Visitation will take place Friday, March 3, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., in the chapel, with Rev. Kent Wilfong officiating. Burial will be at the Naylor Memorial Cemetery
