Irene Hager

Irene Inez Hager, 96 of Van Buren, passed away on January 7, 2019 at the River Way Manor in Van Buren MO

She was born on September 10, 1922 to Arch and Minnie (Bollinger) Hester at Poplar Bluff, MO. On November 10, 1945 she married Harold Hager in Butler County. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage. He preceded her in death March 22, 2015.

She was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by two Sons, Roger Hager (Regina) of Poplar Bluff, Steve Hager (Becky) of Van Buren, MO; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harold Hager, Father, Arch Hester, Mother, Minnie Hester, Brother, Buddy Hester, Sister, Pearl Thomas, and Sister Ethel Stone.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, 2:00 pm at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO, with Rev. Von Kirkman and Rev. Don Hutto officiating.

Burial will take place in the Cochran Cemetery.
