Isiah Smith Sr

Isiah Smith Sr., 82, of Benton Harbor, Mich., died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 at Lakeland Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph, Mich. Mr. Smith was born March 19,1932 in Hayti, Mo. He worked as a farmer and enjoyed fishing, cooking, woodworking, gardening, and being outdoors. He attended El Bethel Church. On May 31, 1956 he married Myrtle McComb in Marked Tree, Ark. She preceded him in death on, April 28, 2002. Survivors include his children; Luccinda Wintson, Isaah (Doris) Smith Jr., Myrtle Higgs, Joseph Smith, Ricky Smith, Lea Smith, Ricky Smith, Lesa Smith all of Neelyville, Darlena Smith of Austin, Texas, Dan Allen (Sandra) Smith of Harker Heights, Texas; sisters, Florence McComb and Retha Deaner, both of Neelyville; nine grandchildren; Gwen Cain, Tonya Brown, Audry Smith, Adrian Smith, Aurianna Smith, Jestin Smith (Mindy), Kaneezsha Dobbins, Clifton Kobe Hayes, Raven Smith; six great-grandchildren; Jazmyne Smith, Jamie Fowler, Curtis Fowler, J'Kayla Fowler, Malik Brown, Laila Brown; and here great-great-grandchildren, Venus Nicole, Jaden Maurice, Aaliyah Liana. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service on Friday at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Funeral service will follow at noon Friday in the chapel. burial will be in Neelyville Cemetery.
