James Calvert Cooper

James Calvert Cooper, 69, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Monday, September, 19, 2016 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born July 19, 1947, in Dexter, Mo., to Charles Dee Cooper and Helen M. (Sutton) Cooper. Both preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a supervisor at Southern Machine and Tool, Fisherscrew Products and Special Engineering. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. On July 15, 2000 he married Charlie Cooper, who survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Terrie Cooper (Ron); step-children, Rob Caudel and wife, Katie, Austin Caudel, and Amanda Anderson; a brother, W.C. Cooper and wife, Diana; 14 grandchildren; as well as two nephews, Wes and Brad Cooper. A memorial service will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff.
