James Curtis Lee Dunn- Jones entered heavens gates on November 9, 2011, following a " brave" battle with brain cancer. He was 7 years old.
James was born September 16, 2004, at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was a student at Mark Twain School in Poplar Bluff and attended South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church. He loved all the St. Louis sports teams, but especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed playing outside, talking, being with people, and playing his video games.
He is survived by his parents; Kimberly Dunn and Ronald Ward of Ellsinore, Mo. and Joe Jones and Kallista Jones of Poplar Bluff; grandparents Sharon Dunn, Poplar Bluff, Gale and Pat Jones of Poplar Bluff; great-grandparents, Curtis and Vearon Dunn of Flint, Michigan, Esther Jones, Poplar Bluff and Mary Bryeans of Poplar Bluff; his sisters, Maggie Dunn-Jones, Stacie Cannaday, Aklyah Ward and brothers, Mark Dunn-Jones and Ronald Ward.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff. Funeral services at 12 p.m. (noon) Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the chapel with Rev. Keith Luke officiating. Burial in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
In honor of James, the family request that everyone wear yellor or St. Louis Cardinals wear to the visitation and funeral services.
