James Davidson Sr., 80 of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday April 18, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Visitation will begin at 6PM Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff. The funeral will be at 11AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO
Mr. Davidson was born Oct. 5, 1930 in Lilbourn, MO He had lived in Poplar Bluff for about 50 years. He served in the National Guard and was a retired deputy sheriff in Butler and Wayne Counties. He enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing and bingo.
On June 16, 1990 he married Nancy Ann Rice in Poplar Bluff, she survives. He previously was married to Vonda Lee Mattison. She preceded him in death in 1987.
Also surviving are his children: Linda Gail DeNouden and husband James of Las Vegas, Gary Davidson and wife Terry of Neelyville, James Edward Davidson Jr. and wife Brenda and Randy Allen Davidson and wife Pam all of Poplar Bluff; Randy Allen Darlin and Angela Marie Whitmer and husband Les all of St. Charles; one sister Monnetta Pavlich of Las Vegas. Two brothers; Larry Burns of Galveston, TX and Bill Burns of TX Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was precded in death by his parents Closis Davidson and Hazel Gilbert Davidson; one sister and two brothers.
