James Edward Williams

James Edward Williams, 68, of, MO passed away on February 29, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. James was born on December 31, 1955, to Mitchell and Juanita (Brooks) Williams in South Gary, Indiana. James gave his life to Christ at an early age where he joined New Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Frank Earl.  He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, cooking and fishing. James is survived by significant other Michelle, daughters, Sharieka Bell, Astasia Phelps, Candace Phelps sons, Jeremy Jamison, Daniel Fenton, and Joel Robinson, numerous grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, siblings, Carolyn, Teretha, Earnest, Roosevelt and Johnny Williams. James was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Mitchell Williams Jr, Diane Williams, Barbara Ann Williams, Johnny Jones and Ronnie "Boo" Grant. Visitation will be held on Saturday March 16, 2024, from 12-1PM at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral services will begin at 1PM in the funeral home chapel with Bishop. Alfonso Webb Jr. officiating. Burial will take place at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
