Janice Lynn (Ketchum) Bidatsch born May 4, 1968, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to Willie A. (Daughhetee) Ketchum and Curtis H. Ketchum, entered into eternal rest July 19, 2026, at the age of 58 years and 2 months.
Janice spent her childhood through early adult years in Leavenworth, KS, before returning to Poplar Bluff. For several years, she was a stay-at-home mom to her 3 greatest blessings. Later, she worked at Video Playhouse followed by many years as the office manager for County Mart/Cash Saver until the store closing. In recent years, she enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren. Janice had the most loving and caring heart. She was known for making friends into family and always looking for ways she could help others in need. She found joy in all sorts of crafting throughout her years and most recently in creating beautiful wreaths for all seasons. She loved bird watching, listening to gospel music, putting puzzles together, and tending to her beloved basset hound, Bella. Janice began each day in prayer and bible study. She was a faithful prayer warrior for all those she loved. She attended Westwood Baptist Church for over 25 years. She took advantage of every opportunity to share the love of her Savior, and her greatest wish was that all would come to know him.
Janice leaves behind to treasure her memory, her devoted husband, Richard Bidatsch, with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage; her 3 children whom she loved without limits: Steven Bidatsch (Jasmin Rossi) of Palm Bay, FL, Jeramiah Bidatsch of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Cara Hoffmeister (Richard Fladung) of Jackson, MO; 6 grandchildren who were the pride and highlight of her life: Faith Bidatsch, Alison Hoffmeister, Kimber Downing, Jonny Hoffmeister, Mia Bidatsch, and Elena Fladung. Also surviving are her loving mother, Willie Ketchum of Titusville, FL; 3 siblings, whom she loved to remind that she was youngest: Carolyn Burkhart of Grandin, MO, Judy Tuggle of Titusville, FL, and David Ketchum, of Leavenworth, KS; nieces and nephews she loved as her own: Krista Richardson, Travis (Elizabeth) Tuggle, Rebecca (Bryan) Griffin, Robert (Nikki) Burkhart, Tanya (David) Maxwell; and many other relatives and friends, she adored.
She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis H. Ketchum; her maternal grandparents, Alberta (Hunter) Daughhetee and Joel W. Daughhetee; her paternal grandparents, Nettie (Moxley) Ketchum and Ira E. Ketchum; brother-in-law, Robert E. Burkhart; and a special nephew, Robbin E. Burkhart.
