Jerry Wayne Carter

Jerry Wayne Carter 71, of Poplar Bluff departed this life on July 31, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Feb. 16, 1949 in Doniphan, Mo to Wilbert E. (Buck) Carter and Elsie (Switzer) Carter.  He was married to Lisa Carter who preceded him in death.

Jerry loved fishing, gardening, working on lawn mowers with his friend Alvie.

Surviving are his mother Elsie Carter; children Pamala Breckenridge, Vicent Carter and wife Ulanda,  Russell Carter and Billie, Billie Jo Carter and James, Heather Hill and Brandon, Stacy Longhibler, and David Longhibler.  Fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his father Wilbert E. (Buck) Carter, three sons Jerry Lee (Frier) Carter, James Robert Carter, Aric W. Carter a grand-daughter Shelby (Nichole) Carter and one sister Wilma Harness.

The family is planning a memorial service and inurnment Saturday August 8, 2020 10 am at Ash Hill Cemetery near Fisk, MO
