Jerry Johnson

Jerry Johnson , 70 of Grandin departed this life on September 20, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born on May 14, 1948 in Poplar Bluff to the late Fielen and Viriginia (Medley) Johnson. On November 5, 1986 he was united in marriage to Joann Johnson she survives. He loved fishing, and was a member of the Stringtown Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for several years. He was a veteran in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a riverboat engineer. Besides his wife he is survived by his step-children Mark Falkoff, Jonette Pruett, David Falkoff and Andrea. One sister Kathy Johnson, Two brothers Jimmy Johnson, Jack Johnson, Fourteen step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Julie Russell, Janie Smith, Pansey Spencer, by one brother George Johnson. Visitation will be Monday September 24, 2018 from 6 till 8 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 2 pm in the Stringtown Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Vester officating. Burial will follow in the Kerns Chapel Cemetery at Stringtown.
