Jimmie M. Bishop

Jimmie M. Bishop, 76, of Williamsville, Mo. passed away May 19, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Bishop was born August 18, 1937 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was of the General Baptist faith. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960 and a member of the Eagles and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf and was a truck driver Survivors include his 5 children, Diane Kiefer (Dennis), Dee Brooks, Dawn Bishop, Jimmie Bishop II, and Greg "Boomer" Kammerer; 2 brothers, Wayne and Ricky Bishop, as well as 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bishop and Mildred Tarpley-Bishop and a daughter Debbie Hanner, who passed away November 28, 2013. Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, May21, 2014, followed by funeral service at 8 p.m., at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Rev. Keith Luke will officiate. A full military honors service will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
