Joan Dobbs Underwood

Joan (Dobbs) Underwood, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Underwood was born November 29, 1940 in Memphis, Tn. She was a member of God's Country Cowboy Church in Fredericktown, Mo., Rebekah Lodge #41 and Odd Fellows #179. On April 21, 1956 she married Clyde Dobbs. He preceded her in death September 12, 2002. She later married Jessie Robert Underwood on August 26, 2009. He survives. Also surviving are 9 children, Clyde Dobbs Jr., William Dobbs, Dianne Arnold, Laura Dobbs, Thomas Dobbs, Joe Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, Melissa Rush and Mark Dobbs; 2 stepchildren, Kelvin Underwood and Maria Gang; one sister, Barbara England; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. Allen and Daisy Hefner and a son, Kevin Dobbs. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Three Springs Cemetery with Rev. Steve Frances officiating. A memorial gathering will follow at the Agee Fellowship Church on W Hwy.
