John Quincy Adams

John Quincy Adams, 90, of Naylor, Missouri, passed away April 11, 2014 in the Missouri Veterans Home, in Cape Giradeau, Missouri. He was born December 20, 1923 at NewPort, Arkansas to the late John Quincy Adams and Hazel Myers Adams. On December 31, 1948 at Pocahontas, Arkansas he was married to Sarah Louise Hughes. She preceded in him death. He is survived by; his children, Richard Adams of Sikeston, Missouri, Roberts "Rob" Adams and Angela of Poplar Bluff, Mo and James "Jimmy" Adams of Naylor, Missouri. One sister, Doralee Mann of Kansas City, Missouri and two brothers, Billy Joe Adams of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Jerry Adams of Bonterre, Missouri. Also surviving is seven grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Shawn Adams, Cody Adams, Charles Adams, Mia Adams, John Victor Adams, and Theresas Flelton and husband David. as well as four great grandchildren, Joel, Robyn, C.J. and Franklin David. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by one son, John Q. Adams two sisters, Dortheta Luttrell and Bonnie Tyler as well as two brothers, Dale Adams and Cecil Adams. Mr. Adams had served in WWII United States Army and had worked for the Forestry Service at Doniphan, Missouri. He enjoyed Fishing and Hunting. Visitation for Mr. Adams will be Monday April 14, 2014 starting after 6:00 p.m. with the servcies starting at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 15, 2015 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Gum Cemetery near Naylor, Missouri with Pastor Donnie Emmons officiating.
