John Wesley Ferguson

John Wesley Ferguson, Sr. 77, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away July 12, 2023, with his family by his side at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Born, May 25, 1946, to the late Otto and Dora Ferguson in Pascola, MO. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, napping, cooking and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his spouse, Michelle Ferguson, children: John Jr., Carleen, Roderic (wife-Tiffany), Keona, and Shaquana. 12 grandchildren, siblings: Isaac (wife-Ann), Otto, Kathern, Thelma and Patricia. Several brothers and sisters in law.

John is preceded in death by his siblings: Jessie, Andrew, Quinton, Sylvester, David, Elizabeth and parents.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, loving nature and fighting spirit.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 9am-10am at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, MO. The homegoing service will begin at 10AM in the chapel with Rev. Marcus Johnson officiating.
