John Pitts

There will be no public services for Mr. Pitts. John M. Pitts, 66 of Poplar Bluff passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Pitts was born June 1, 1944 in Maynard Arkansas, to the late James Edward Pitts and Josephine Ivey Rogers. He had served in the United States Army. He was a deck hand on the riverboat. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, working on cars, fishing and traveling. March 5, 2004 he married Barbara Rains Pitts in Poplar Bluff and she survives. Also surviving are his children: Jeana Hindgardner; Bumpass, VA; John Crawford and wife Connie of Carthage, TN; step children: Heather Merritt of Poplar Bluff; Jessica Sparks of Poplar Bluff; Desiray Nelson of Doniphan; Raymond Nelson of Doniphan; and Johnny Nelson of Doniphan Also surviving are three sisters; Alice Young of Poplar Bluff; Frankie Phillips of Peace Valley, MO; and Louise Pitts of Poplar Bluff. Three brothers: Junior Ash of Romeoville, IL; Jerry Pitts of Princeton, IL and William Pitts of Elmhurst, IL He was preceaded in death by brothers James Pitts and Wesley Rogers He has twelve grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. No services are planned.
