Johnnie Virgle Brake

Johnnie Virgle Brake, 96 of Neelyville, Missouri, passed away July 31,2011 in the WestWood Hills Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Virgle was born September 2, 1914 in Harviell, Missouri to Thomas H. Brake and Nancy C. "Miller" Brake. He is survived by; Daughter, Rose Ann Newcomb and husband Bob of Harviell, Mo. and Son; Robert Brake and wife Thelma of Bonneterre, Missouri. On March 8, 1938, He was married to Helen Dollins at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She preceded him death on February 23, 1989. He was member of the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church since 1966. He enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball, Gardening and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife as well as one Great Great Granddaughter, Elena Bub. Three sisters, Sarah Summers, Rosa Hicks and Mary Sue Coonrod. and one brother Carl Brake. Visitation for Mr. Brake will be Thursday August 4, 2011 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memoiral Chapel in Neelyville starting at 6:oo p.m. Funeral will b e August 5, 2011 in the funeral chapel starting at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Roberts Cemetery following services. Rev. Terry Sharpe officiating.
