Johnny C. Brooks, 72, of Naylor, Mo., passed away August 20, 2014 near Corning, Arkansas. He was born March 24, 1942 to the late Jess Otis Brooks and Nellie May Kerr at Success, Arkansas. He had worked at Blacks Lumber Company in Corning, Arkansas and enjoyed Science fiction, hunting rocks and riding his bike. He was a member of Myrtle Chapel Church of God.
Johnny is survived by one sister, Helen Rogers of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, one half sister, Brenda Shelton of Rector, Arkansas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Also uncle, Fred Kerr and grandmother Hattie Melanna Kerr who raised him from a early age. His twin brother Clifford Brooks as well as a half brother Charles Brooks and one half sister, Linda Fortner.
Visitation will be Saturday August 23, 2014 starting at 2:00 p.m. with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Gum Cemetery near Naylor, Missouri.
