Juanita M. Hendrix

Juanita M. Hendrix, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the age of 88. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in the chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Monday at Freedom Church, 527 Henry Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. The church will open at 10 a.m. for another viewing before the funeral. Officiated by Pastor Scott Cheshire with burial in Memorial Gardens, Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Hendrix was born April 1, 1923, at Bakersfield, California, to parents Archie M. Crawford and Maude McCullay Crawford. She had formerly lived in Cedar Ridge, Mo., and had lived in Butler County for the past 10 months. She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles and work. She was a member of Freedom Church in Poplar Bluff. On April 26, 1941, she was married to Alva L. Hendrix. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1989. Surviving are her children, Ronnie Hendrix Sr., of Poplar Bluff, Laura Tieman Kohlhauff of Branson, Mo., Lanny Hendrix of St. Louis, Mo. and Rory Hendrix of House Springs, Mo., two sisters, Judy Holt of Kennett and Sandra Birdsong of Florida; five brothers, Jerry Crawford of Osceola, Ark., Allen M. Crawford, Kenneth Jackie Crawford and Tony Crawford, all of Kennett, Mo., and Lanny Crawford of Springfield, Mo., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a dear mother-in-law and loving aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, LarryMontgomery; one sister, Betsy Crawford; four brothers, Jim Crawford, Bill Crawford, Gerald Crawford and Ricky Crawford.
