Juanita Martin

Juanita Viola Martin, 87, of Fairdealing, Mo., passed away on July 4, 2017 at Southeast Hospital. Mrs. Martin was born on September 28, 1929 in Miami, FL. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed collecting whatnots, cookie jars, music boxes and snow globes. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints in Poplar Bluff. On December 23, 1946, Juanita married Shirley Ray Martin in Pocahontas, Ar. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2014. Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, William Larry Martin and Jerry Lee Martin, both of Fairdealing, Mo., Garry Albert Martin of Tuttle, OK.; 1 brother, Ervin Gaines of N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 10 adopted grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and 3 Great grandchildren. Besides her husband Juanita was also preceded in death by 2 children, Tommy Ray Martin and Peggy "Sue" Martin; parents, Frank and Norma Gaines; as well as two brothers, Frank and Melvin Gaines. Services will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 12:00 - 1:00p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints in Poplar Bluff, with funeral following at 1:00p.m., with Bishop Steve Richardson officiating. Burial will take place at Center Hill Cemetery.
