Karen Shaw

Karen Elizabeth Shaw of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away at her home, Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the age of 65. A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with Vernon Curry officiating. She was born June 15, 1945, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to parents Fred and Elsie (Blankenship) Blalock . She had previously lived in Beebe, Ark., before moving to Poplar Bluff 18 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a homemaker. On June 18, 1963, she was united in marrriage to Harold "Doc" Shaw. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Tim Shaw and his wife, Mandy, of Campbell and David Shaw of Kabul, Afghanistan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
